Dommage seulement que le mus\u00e9e soit aussi peu indiqu\u00e9.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u2026L\u2019appellation m\u00eame du mus\u00e9e trahit son d\u00e9faut\u00a0: <strong>Auto, moto, v\u00e9lo, autant dire toucher \u00e0 tout sans \u00eatre sp\u00e9cialiste de rien<\/strong>. Des motos, il y en a pourtant une trentaine dont quinze d\u2019avant 1930, de belles, de rares, d\u2019inattendues\u2026 mais p\u00eale-m\u00eale sans autre lien qu\u2019un bien vague ordre chronologique\u2026 On appr\u00e9cie bien les beaux restes de la collection du Comte de Lass\u00e9e l\u00e9gu\u00e9e au mus\u00e9e et qui furent \u00e0 son origine. On respecte aussi le parti-pris (\u00e9conomique\u2009?) de <strong>conserver les motos dans leur jus\u00a0. Ce choix est plus que d\u00e9fendable quand justement les motos sont dans un bel \u00e9tat d\u2019origine<\/strong>, mais certaines exceptions comme la sublime et rarissime 250 Ollearo de 1931 auraient bien m\u00e9rit\u00e9 une r\u00e9novation.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019exposition est au demeurant bien et clairement pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e avec des panneaux informatifs bien faits, concis, synth\u00e9tiques et sans erreurs. C\u2019est assez rare pour \u00eatre soulign\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La plus grande frustration concerne cependant les scooters, non pas par leur manque, \u201417 scooters fran\u00e7ais sont expos\u00e9s\u00a0\u2014 mais au contraire par la non-mise en valeur de l\u2019unit\u00e9 de cette collection<\/strong> \u00e9tal\u00e9e dans le mus\u00e9e sans qu\u2019il soit mentionn\u00e9 que cette collection, rachet\u00e9e en 1999 \u00e0 Yves Dumetz, est un rassemblement tout \u00e0 fait unique de la quasi-totalit\u00e9 des scooters fabriqu\u00e9s en France dans les ann\u00e9es\u00a050-60. Le site internet du mus\u00e9e tente bien sur une page de noter que \u00ab\u00a0<em>L\u2019un des points forts de ces collections est la pr\u00e9sentation d\u2019une tr\u00e8s belle s\u00e9rie de scooters et de motos d\u2019origine fran\u00e7aise, compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par des v\u00e9los \u00e0 moteur auxiliaire et des v\u00e9lomoteurs, sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 dans laquelle s\u2019est reconvertie l\u2019industrie fran\u00e7aise du motocycle \u00e0 partir de 1950<\/em> \u00bb, mais d\u2019une part les cyclos sont quasiment absents d\u2019autre part une autre page rajoute \u00ab\u00a0<em>Le scooter n\u00e9 en Italie et fabriqu\u00e9 en France<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb. Natif d\u2019Italie\u2009? Hum\u2026 sans nier l\u2019\u00e9norme succ\u00e8s en ce pays apr\u00e8s la Seconde Guerre, il est dommage d\u2019oublier le vrai anc\u00eatre du scooter, l\u2019Autofauteuil fabriqu\u00e9 \u00e0 Blois,\u00a0\u00e0 \u00e0 peine plus de 100\u00a0km de Chatellerault, de 1902 \u00e0 1922, et l\u2019\u00e2ge d\u2019or du scooter am\u00e9ricain jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la fin de la Seconde Guerre.<\/p>\n<p>Autant pour une collection ou un mus\u00e9e priv\u00e9s il n\u2019est pas question de critiquer le choix du collectionneur qui est ma\u00eetre chez lui, autant est-on en droit pour un mus\u00e9e fonctionnant sur des fonds publics de demander une mise en valeur raisonn\u00e9e du patrimoine dont il a la charge ce qui est en grande partie plus une question de volont\u00e9 et de passion que de budget.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Le mus\u00e9e en chiffres\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Mus\u00e9e Auto, Moto, V\u00e9lo &#8211; 3 rue Cl\u00e9ment Krebs, 86100 Chatellerault &#8211; 3000\u00a0m2, 15 \u00e0 20\u2009000 visiteurs par an, 17 scooters fran\u00e7ais et un italien expos\u00e9s, 30 motos dont 6 avant 1914 plus 9 avant 1930 \u2026 des autos, des v\u00e9los et une fort belle r\u00e9trospective des armes fabriqu\u00e9es par la manufacture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><strong>Photos F-M.
