100 cc Slughi - 1958 (Ramjet or Streamliner Ramjet in the US)



Named Ramjet and Streamliner Ramjet un the US, the Parilla Slughi was introduced at the 1957 Milano show and production started in 1958. As an answer to the Aermacchi Chimera introduced one year earlier, the design included a new wrap around body shell. Two engines were offered, both 100 cc, in two stroke or four stroke and Parilla launched for 1960  125 mversions also in two-stroke and four-stroke. Sales in the U.S. did not meet Cosmo expectations and import was stopped as well as the production in Italy in 1964. 
A naked model named Olimpia (Impala in the US) was also offered in 100 and 125 cc.

Weight: approx. 167 lb

Maximum Speed: approx. 65 mph


In Italy Slughi Parilla two-stoke 100 cc was sold 100 000 lire, cheaper than Vespa listed at 125 000 lire.
